Growth Spurt?

Hi everyone! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend! This week has been much more interesting than the previous few weeks as we actually got out of the house for some fresh air woohoo! We had a day of sunshine this week even though it was still very cold and the rest of the week has been awful! As always these photo's are all off my Instagram feed so don't mind the bad quality. Here's what we've been up to this week!

Amelia has been napping a couple of times this week but not until 4pm!! Which of course is a nightmare because then she won't go to sleep at her normal time of 7.30ish and ends up staying up with me until 10pm. This means I get less time to blog once she goes to bed. It seems to be on days where she's more fussy or poorly. I would love it if she would bring nap time back so I can catch up on some housework and blogging during the daytime but she tends to fall asleep feeding so I leave her on the sofa next to me. She only naps for an hour, I just wish it was earlier so it wouldn't mess up her bedtime so much!

On family Thursday this week we took a trip to Llandudno on the train as we still don't have a new car.  We decided we wanted to go somewhere different as we have just been going into our local town each week which is getting rather boring. We went for a lovely lunch and then headed to the play centre there for a couple of hours which Amelia loved! She loved the train ride there and actually sat/stood still for the journey this time compared to when we went to London back in June.

Twins!!

I bought Amelia a ton of new clothes this week most of them are 18-24 months which don't fit her just yet but her 12-18 month tops are getting far to small although her bottoms fit perfectly fine and some are still too big around the waist. At least the new ones will last her until the end of summer I imagine. I love this dungarees set which I bought from Mothercare I think. I've never put Amelia in dungarees because I didn't like them before but this one is actually pretty cute and great for lounging around the house.

Amelia is loving her new read with me violet and has been carrying it around with her everywhere pressing the buttons to make it sing. The tune is getting quiet addictive now. She loved her my pal violet which is the younger version and keeps making them sit together haha!

Another sleepy photo where she decided to fall asleep at 4pm again. I'm thinking it may be a growth spurt as myself and Andy have both noticed a difference in height.

On Sunday I decided to bake some cupcakes. I haven't made any since before Christmas and was really craving some! I also needed an excuse to use my new electric hand blender too! I think they turned out pretty well if I do say so myself!

  3. I don't know how you cope without naptime! If John doesn't have his usual 2 hour nap at lunchtime I'm a mad woman by the end of the day. My new aim in life is to synch naps for John & David - I need that time to eat, shower & pee!

    1. Haha! I don't either :( She just stopped having them when we were on holiday. I sure do miss them though! She does every now and again perhaps once a week have a nap around 4pm when shes extra fussy/tired but that just messes up bedtime. Ahh i bet!! Hope you can get that sorted :) x
