Rainy Afternoons

We don't seem to be having the best weather lately which results in us being stuck in the house with a hyper toddler who won't nap! Ever since she stopped napping just over two months ago she has become a nightmare once it hits 3pm. She is hyper as ever and is usually bored downstairs and ends up being a little terror jumping and climbing on me, pulling my hair and even slapping and rolling around in hysterics. Now that her bedroom is in some sort of order and has a baby gate on it I have been letting her play in there in the afternoons. This also allows me to tidy upstairs and keep an eye on her as it's become some what of a pig sty! She seems to like playing in her room, and because I've taken up a few toys from downstairs she doesn't get bored of them so quickly.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

  1. Your pictures are always so beautiful! I love the faded light of them. This looks like the perfect way to spend a rainy day for a toddler, you're so brave letting Amelia colour on the white mat too! :)

  3. I can really relate to this! My Harry is also somewhat of a nightmare after 3pm. We've found that we just can't allow him to nap in the day anymore or else he will be up with us all evening but between 3pm and teatime, he's just crazy!!! Being pregnant as well, I have to spend most of that time on my feet to avoid being climbed all over!
