Amelia's Toddler Room Progress

Hi everyone, I thought I would update you on Amelia's room as many of you have been asking on Instagram. You may remember me previously mentioning that I wanted to get Amelia's room done first when we moved into our new house back in September. We bought a whole room full of new furniture including a toddler bed, bookcase, wardrobe and chest of drawers, I de-cluttered her room as much as possible by packing away all her baby clothes and bits and bobs which are all stored safely away in the attic and started to make it feel more toddler friendly.

Her room was pretty much done apart from her reading corner and play area which I was wanting to do  in the New Year after she had her Christmas presents. I also still need to get rid of her cot as she is now sleeping in her toddler bed more. But we will wait until she's sleeping it it for the whole night as she still wakes during the night.

I wanted to create a space that was natural and light, with it not being too babyish but still girly enough for my little princess. I opted to keep the walls cream as I the furniture is white I didn't want it to be too white. I then added touches of peach and pink into the room to add a bit of colour. I love her bed canopy and think it finishes the room and makes it feel much more modern and girly.

There's still a lot I want to do to her room so I will post another update once its all completed hopefully next month. I really need to organise it better especially all of her clothes and random bits, perhaps I'll buy some more storage boxes. She also has far too many books now so I will be putting some on shelves when I eventually get round to putting them up!

What do you think of Amelia's room so far?
