Christmas Gift Guide 2013: Baby's 1st Christmas

Finding it hard to choose something for baby's 1st Christmas? Look no further! I have found some amazing products which you are going to love for the special little one in your lives. From toys to clothes there's something for everyone. I remember last year spending hours browsing online for gift ideas for Amelia and realised its not just about the toys. I actually found some lovely gift ideas from Little Whispers who have a lovely range of baby gifts to choose from such as dolls and soft toys. You can also view last years guide here for more gift ideas for a baby's first Christmas.

Baby's 1st Christmas Gifts

These infant shoes are a a perfect gift for anyone looking to buy something that bit special for a new arrival this Christmas. There is a wonderful selection of colours to choose from including these beautiful caramel ones pictured above. Available in three sizes (newborn, 2-4 months and 4-6 months). Bobux, creators of baby, toddler and pre-school shoes are designed to mimic the freedom of going barefoot and have launched new-b, the latest additon to the increasing Bobux family. The new-b's are ultra-soft, breathable and lightweight to allow unrestricted kicking and wriggling. Made from 100% genuine leather ensuring they are completely child safe.

These gorgeous socks in a box will make the perfect baby gift or even an ideal finishing touch for a baby outift. These classic and striking designs will delight any trendy mum and keep little toes nice and snug. Lilly and Sid also have a selection of baby girl and boy socks if you'd rather have a gender specific gift.  These socks are all made in the UK and are an ideal cute baby present as they are already gift boxed.

Say 'Hello Baby' with a trio of perfectly pure bath and skincare products from The Green People - only the best milk and gentle ingredients are blended to create the purest baby products for tiny ones. This gift set is perfect for both little girl and boys and is available in a neutral, blue or pink sleeve design for a personalised gift. Lilly and Sid have an extensive collection of knitted baby blankets ranging from just £24 to £35. These blankets also coordinates with other unisex baby clothes from the collection and makes an idea unique unisex baby gift. All blankets come ready rolled with a satin ribbon tie and gift tag for easy gifting. Make sure you check out some of their other adorable baby blankets as there's something for every taste.

Why not gift a toy this Christmas for a baby's first Christmas. This Haba Metalophone is ideal for small hands, and loudness suitable for even the smallest one. It fosters your child's musical development and enhances rhythm from a young age. This is a perfectly proportioned wooden metallophone for small children with 6 real notes that are in tune and labelled. I really love that it has notes that are in tune and it's suitable for such a young age.

Haba wooden toys are made in Germany to the highest standard. These really are toys that will last a lifetime and more, sure to be passed on to the next generation. Natural beechwood painted with non toxic waterbased paints which produce a bright deep shine. Innovative and educational toys that chidlren of all ages will love.

This cute Christmas album makes a great little gift or stocking idea, both stylish and practical for any little boy or girl. The album is handmade by Saffron with a lovely sparkly reindeer design on the front - perfect for safely storing all those precious 1st Christmas snaps. The album holds 40 photos and is presented in an acetate box.

I love this book and it's the perfect gift for every new mum and baby. Our story is a beautiful memory book for sharing your special journey from birth to adulthood with your child. You can then give them the book and their 18th birthday and it will make a lovely keepsake for them to look back on with you life documented together. This comes in two different themes one "for my Son" and one "for my Daughter". I love the colourful theme with birds, hearts and and bunting. I would recommend every parent having one of these special books for their child.

The OXO Tot sippy cup set is great for babies 6m+ and brings together two of OXO Tot's best selling products in one. The set includes a 200ml sippy cup with handles and training cup lid with perforated edges. Once they are ready to progress to the next stage, the lid can be replaced with the training cup lid to transform the cup into a regular beaker which is great for babies and toddlers. The sippy cup is available in three wonderful bright colours; aqua, green and raspberry! This would make a lovely 1st Christmas gift idea for all babies as it will last as it grows with them.

We were sent the Ruby & Belle rocking horse a few months ago to review which you can read here. Amelia who is now 19 months old loves it and rides on it everyday without fail. This would make a lovely first Christmas gift for any baby or toddler and they also have them from 9m+ and in various designs for boys and girls.

Sophie The Giraffe £12.95

This is without doubt one of the best investments I have ever made of baby products when Amelia was much younger. I would highly recommend this to every parent and I have bought one for all my new mummy friends and their little ones as it's the best teether I have come across. You can also buy cute accessories with it too for an extra gift or stocking ideas.

A few months ago I was browsing the internet for Christmas gift ideas for Amelia and came across the Handprint Tower of Time. I wish I had found out about it last year as I would have bought one for Amelia. Every year you can take a handprint of your little one and watch your baby's hands grow into a toddler, preschooler and finally a 5 year old! What a lovely gift and one to cherish forever. This also comes in the choice of a neutral, pink or blue theme. This kit consists of 5 graduated size multi-coloured  tin mould allowing you to take imprints of a little one's hands or feet from ages 1 to 5.

Hopefully I've given you some ideas on what to buy for a baby's first Christmas.
What are you planning on buying your little one's this Christmas?

  36. I actually need I had put together discovered them in 2009 when i can be got a person to get Amelia. Each and every year you may go on a hand print within your toddler watching a person's small one's possession raise to a tot, preschooler and ultimately your 5 twelve months good old! That's a charming gift idea and the other so that you can prize always.
