Print Out Activities For Children

As the weather starts to turn nasty, our mummy-daughter trips to the park are becoming less and less frequent. I need to find ways to keep Amelia entertained indoors.

As you will have seen from my recent posts, Amelia loves to get creative! Barely a day goes by where she doesn’t have crayons in hand ready to start her latest masterpiece. As much as I love her portraits of mummy and daddy, I’ve been looking for ways to get her to try new things and develop her drawing skills and printable activity pages seem like the best option.

We’ve had a printer for ages now but I can’t remember the last time it worked! It goes through ink like there’s no tomorrow and is forever getting jammed. It’s come to the point where we’ve just given up on it.

I really need to invest in a new one though, as the activities I’ve got planned for Amelia require print outs. I want to get something a little bit more professional this time, so that I know it’s not going to break at the first colouring sheet I print. I’ve been looking online and the printers from United Carlton seem to be good – they are printing specialists so will only stock the best.

There are some really good printable activities online. To satisfy Amelia’s hunger for colouring in, I’ve been looking at the Colouring Book site. They have over 5,000 printable designs that are completely free to download – not even Amelia could get through that many! All of their designs feature well-known children’s characters, including Amelia’s favourites, Curious George and Peppa Pig.

I’ve also found some complete the picture sheets too. They have an image already on them so your child completes the picture around it. I love seeing Amelia drawing and this is a great way to really get her imagination going.

Speaking of imagination, we often like to have some fun playing pretend. I know Amelia will love these finger puppets. Simply cut them out (I’ll help her do that) and easily assemble them – instant finger puppet!

These activities are sure to keep her entertained until Santa delivers some new toys to play with!
