When we were asked to try out the new Ella's Kitchen My Little Big Meals we were rather eager for them to arrive. This is the first range of 100% organic meals from Ella's Kitchen for toddlers aged from 12 months. The new range includes six dishes and each one contains at least five different fruit and vegetables. We were sent a lovely box including a pack of each meal from the range to try out along with some craft materials so we could create some vegetable inspired fun!
Amelia loves drawing and the crayons and felt tips were a massive hit. I couldn't get them off her at one point she was having so much fun! Having not used paints with Amelia we thought we would give them a go, of course it was messy but she had fun thats the main thing. We cut up some vegetables including potatoes, carrots and peppers as that's all I had in the house, we are going away this weekend so I didn't do a big shop this week. Amelia then had fun dipping the vegetables in the paints and making shapes. It's made me think of how much fun we are going to have as she gets older and all the crafts we can do together.
Amelia has become somewhat a fussy eater recently and will not eat anything I give her so for the past 6 weeks or so we have resorted into giving her pre-made meal pots like these but from 10 months which she seems to be liking. It seems to be the only thing she will eat even though more recently I have tried to bribe her into eating what we are eating which occasionally works. So when the new range of toddler meals arrived I couldn't wait for Amelia to try them out in hope that she would like them. These also come in handy if we are naughty and have a takeaway as you can heat them up in just 60 seconds in the microwave and they're ready to eat. You can also eat them at room temperature which is great on the go or eating out.
I found that she liked the chicken curry and the stew's the best so will definitely be purchasing more of them to have on standby in the cupboard on Amelia's fussy days. I love the fact that each meal has plenty of fruit and vegetables in to help them grow as it can be hard to ensure that they are getting enough when cooking yourself
