5 Tips To Getting Some Mummy Time

When you're a Mum, your constantly up to your eyes in nappies, demands, tantrums, laundry and more. It's constant & exhausting, but as rewarding as being a parent can be, we still need that time to us to re charge and gain back some of that sanity we lost throughout the day.

I know I'm guilty of not taking even time out for myself to unwind and then when it comes to bedtime, I find it really hard to drift over as my mind is still on constant over drive!

You don't needs hours in a hot soapy bubble bath {although that would be lovely!} - even thirty minutes can refresh you. Thirty minutes isn't much to ask for after the day you've had, right? So here are my tips to give you optimum Mummy time!

#1 Get out of the house! Either pay your local coffee house a visit for their best roast for you to enjoy {and maybe even a cheeky muffin!} with a book, or just go for a walk. The time alone and freedom will give you a breathe of fresh air.

#2 Give yourself a facial. Taking the time to treat you instead of seeing to the constant needs of others is a rare treat, so grab it with both hands and give your skin a boost. You'll feel ten times better after you do.

#3 Wake up a little earlier. Yes I know, sleep is the sweet nectar of life, but I personally find waking up a little earlier than everyone else gives you time to wake yourself up right. Have a cup of tea, have your breakfast in peace and read a magazine.

#4 Grab a power nap. Being a parent is hard work and very tiring, so once the children are settled and your partner is home. Go take a well earned nap to recharge your energy to get your through the rest of the afternoon. Even if you don't sleep, just kicking off your shoes and chilling out for half an hour can do wonders.

#5 Take that hot soapy bubble bath. The kids have been fed, your partner is home, now's your chance! Have your dinner keeping warm in the oven and go enjoy a good soak. The soothing bubbles will wash your stresses away. Works for me every time!

When you have Mummy time, what do you do for yourself?
