Nabby Baby Monitor Review

Nabby is a brand new and innovative baby monitor which is compatible with iPhone, iPads and Android phones. I was recently asked whether we would like to be one of the first to test out the new monitor and we couldn't wait for it to arrive. We have been using it for the last couple of weeks and I can now share with you all what we think of this fantastic product!

The monitor arrived in a small white magnetic box with all the details you need on a card inside and on the back. No need for a manual as it's so easy to set up! My first impressions of the monitor were that is was tiny! It fit in the palm of my hand which is fantastic and is so light!! It comes with a wrist strap too which is great and you can also pop it in your pocket when carrying around.

Features

The world's lowest radiation
No signal interference
70 hour battery feature
Long range
Easily customise your Nabby
Set sound sensitivity
Clear crystal sound
Lightning fast charge
Multitasking
Name your Nabby

Nabby connects with your smartphone or tablet with a special long distance Bluetooth connection. You don't need to worry about cables or even internet connection. You simply connect your Nabby monitor to your laptop or computer and charge it up, wait for the green light to show up on the diode and turn on your bluetooth to connect.

The App

You will need to download the Nabby app from the app store which is free and then connect via bluetooth. You can also purchase the full package which gives you extra features for only £0.69 if you purchase them all. This includes a sleep timer, allows you to check the temperature of your baby's room and includes many other fantastic features!

I think this is a fantastic product, and especially as I already have an iPhone and iPad to connect it with that is an added bonus and saves on time and having numerous cables around the nursery. I love how small it is and that you can place it anywhere in the room and it will pick up sound. The monitor has 70 hours battery life which is three times longer than most baby monitors, and it fully charges after just 1 hour. How amazing is that?

One thing that would be great also as I am over cautious would be to have a sensor mat. I am so paranoid not using it even with Amelia at this age, I have to have it turned on. I would definitely pay extra to have a bluetooth sensor monitor to place under the mattress, perhaps that is something Nabby are already looking into in the future. If so, I think it would be great for mums who worry about their little ones during the night. However, the 'listen now' app is a life saver for that!

Still not convinced? Take a peek at this video from Nabby to help you make your mind up.

Nabby is available to buy for £119.99 which to some may seem rather pricey but in my opinion it is definitely worth it! A handsfree baby monitor which will take up no room in your luggage, what more could you ask for?

You can also follow Nabby on Facebook and Twitter for more information and latest news!

  4. Wow it does sound amazing, but I do think it's pricey. Given all the things you need for a baby, I don't think we'd pay that for a monitor when you can get a really good one for £30 ish (albeit not cordless or as small). I think perhaps if it came with a sensor mat then people would be more willing to pay over £100. Great review though.

  52. This seems a great product, as very convenient for those used to technology and with a smartphone. Which is an ever increasing number of people. Relevant comment regarding apnoea monitor (or as you state monitor for under mattress.) Apnoea monitors have been used in hospitals, and are a valueable piece of equipment in assisting care and observation of a vunerable, premature or sick baby. Parents can benefit from this reassurance on occasions. Hopefully if manufacturer does consider adding this element of technology :- They will receive the appropriate support and advice from the most relevant and helpful professionals. Possibly from within the NHS (National Health Service).

  96. Fab little gadget, really useful! Can't be without it if you've got babies :-)

    ReplyDelete
  97. never seen this before, amazing gadget

    ReplyDelete
  98. Looks good but its a bit expensive. I just think too many companies are making unnecessary gadgets and confusing first time parents. I bought a lot a stuff for my first baby and didn't use most of it. A monitor is "necessary" but some of the cheaper ones work just fine.
