Oh, it's a hard life being a toddler

There's days when Amelia can be so sweet and innocent and other days when she is a handful and a half. Those are the days when she seem to wants to express her feelings more and make it known that she isn't happy. I always wonder to myself what has she got to be annoyed about, why would be she stressed? She's fifteen months old, she doesn't work, she doesn't have bills to pay, doesn't have to run around after a toddler all day and doesn't have to get the house work done so what could she simply be annoyed or stressed at?

But in reality, we will never know what's going on in their little heads and what they are thinking. They pick up new information every day like little sponges and sometimes too much information can lead them to getting very irritated. Amelia will often stop mid playing or when I am reading to her and get up and scream and run around, is this out of boredom or she just wants to express her voice? Just like tantrums, she has far too many tantrums than I can count a day but most of these are over silly things!

From an adults point of view, a toddler has it very easy. They don't have any worries, they can play, eat and sleep when ever they like and have a rather easy lifestyle. But perhaps from a toddlers point of view that's different. Will we ever know?...

  1. It must be rather frustrating for them, they can't explain to you how they feel because they don't even know what emotions are, they just feel them..they can't tell you their teeth hurt or they dont feel well..must be hard :( x

  2. Aww great post Kerry.

It must be hard for them not to be able to articulate what's wrong and rely on us to just guess and sort it out! :/

  3. I often wonder the same! With Eve, I find she is struggling with her words! Which in turn gets her wound up as I have no idea what smacking me means?! :P
