Family holidays that are fun for everyone *

When you’ve just become a parent for the first time, you may think that the idea of spending time separately from your children on holiday seems kind of mean. Why would you want to go on holiday and then not spend time with your children? In the same way you may wonder why mums to older kids always complain about the summer holidays being too long and how they can’t wait for the school term to start!

Give it a few years and you’ll soon see the benefits of kids’ clubs when you could really do with just a couple of hours to yourself, while someone else does lots of great action-packed activities with your over-energetic youngsters! After all, kids holidays are all about having lots of fun and meeting new people, and going to a hotel or holiday park that offers a kids’ club will give you a perfect combination of time together as a family and an option for the children to do some fun activities without you.

Often the kids’ clubs take place in the morning or afternoon and you have the option of signing the children up for those sessions that look the most interesting to them. Some might want to do arts and crafts afternoons, others might be more interested in the water fight session!

While the kids are busy doing their thing, and meeting new playmates who are staying at the same place as you, you’ll get the chance to read a book, go swimming or just take some time out with your partner. You’ll still have plenty of time to spend as a family during the holiday, and the kids will grow from doing something independently in a new place.
