Brother Max Bear Carry and Hang Night Light Review

Now that Amelia is sleeping in her own room... well most nights anyway, we have been looking for a nightlight for her. She does have one on the back of her baby monitor but to be honest it's not that great and you can barely see anything in the room. I know at this age she isn't really going to be fussed or scared of the dark but it's also handy to have some light in her room especially as she wakes up in the middle of the night for feeding or to come back into bed with us.

We were recently given the opportunity to review the Brother Max bear carry and hang nightlight which I couldn't wait to get it charged once it arrived ready for that night. I was immediately surprised at how light it was and easy to hold.

It currently sits on the unit in the corner of Amelia's nursery and it's out of reach on the shelf and I either leave it there to charge or hang it on her door during the night. I love the fact that it is versatile and you can choose where to place it to suit your little one's needs.

The nightlight emits a soft glow into the room which is perfect for aiding sleep without lighting up the whole room. It's great for popping into the nursery to check on her sleeping in the night without disturbing her.

The nightlight can be set to a choice of single colour or a gradual colour change. It's great that the bear remains cold to touch which is a great plus especially for little hands. The bear is very robust and can even handle being dropped and thrown about - as that is what Amelia seems to like doing with it.

One of the main features that I like about this nightlight is the fact that it can be both on and charging at the same time! Perfect if you've forgotten to charge it before bedtime and something that not a lot of night-lights have to offer. Another fantastic feature is a useful automatic on-off power saving feature. It will turn off after 30 minutes when put into night mode. This is great if it takes your little one a while to get off to sleep.

I always remember as a child having to sleep with the landing light on and the door open slightly. So this would be perfect for children who are afraid of the dark or need some reassurance. I love the handy door hanger which is perfect for toddlers and older children especially for getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom.

Overall I would highly recommend this nightlight to any parent looking for a fantastic night light to reassure their little one during the night or to peek in on them whilst sleeping. I can definitely see us getting many years of use out of it especially when Amelia is older as she will love the concept of it. You can purchase the Brother Max bear carry and hang nightlight from Lloyds Pharmacy at £29.99.

Do you have a night light for your little one?

  2. What a great idea! John has a Gro-egg in his room which I love but it's pretty useless as a night light. Will definitely be looking in to purchasing one of these for when we switch bedrooms before no.2 arrives.

  9. This sounds fabulous and I really like the fact that it's quite subtle. Some night lights destroy the look of the entire nursery x

  35. I think nightlights can be really useful, enough light so you can change a nappy or give a feed without putting on anything brighter and waking baby up too much
