Review: Pong iPad Mini Case

I was recently given the opportunity to try out the new Pong iPad Mini case by Pong Research which couldn't have come at a better time after winning an iPad Mini at Brit Mums Live last month. I am a huge fan of my iPad and couldn't wait to start using my iPad Mini which is why I was rather excited to receive this case as I love testing out new ones. Pong research developed the Pong case to make your tablet better by reducing exposure to cellular and Wi-Fi radiation and improving performance over any other case.

Pong Features:
  • Reduces exposure to radiation - Reduces radiation exposure by up to 86%
  • Improves performance over any other case - Sensor-friendly design allows up to 10.5x transmitted power over all other cases
  • Increases speed - 3.5x faster cellular uploads over any other case
  • Built-in Antenna Technology - A patented, wafer-thin antenna inside the case couples with the antennas inside your iPad to diffuse and spread wireless energy away from you
  • Soft micro-liner interior cushions your iPad
  • Origami cover folds into multiple configurations: choose the ideal position for typing, browsing or watching videos

The Pong case can be used in a number of different positions which include pictured below which is my favourite position. You can also have it lying flatter if you are using it to browse the internet and social media networks. I prefer having it standing upwards as I mainly use my iPad for watching videos and Amelia uses it for that too. The Pong is available to buy in either black or red.

I am really impressed at how thin the case is, you can find some cases to be rather thick and bulky where as this is very lightweight and thin. Another bonus is that when you close the case cover it puts your iPad on standby instantly saving battery life.

The Pong iPad Mini case retails at £84 which to some may seem rather pricey and not the cheapest case on the market. Personally I think you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend this case to anyone looking for a case that will protect them against Wi-fi radiation. Especially parents with children who use technology a lot of the time. Not only do Pong sell iPad cases they sell a selection of other cases for a number of devices including iPhone, Android and also blackberry.

  1. The origami folding is really clever but wow that's expensive for a case!

  2. I don't think I could justify paying $100 on an iPad case, but the quality looks fab and if you can afford it then go for it! X
