Letters To Amelia: 15 Months

Another month has passed by with the blink on a eyelid and the months seem to be going by ridiculously fast ever since you turned 1! I am beginning to loose track. I am rather sad that you are no longer my tiny weeny squishy baby, even though you will of course always be my baby.

You are such a little character! You make me smile everyday without a doubt. You can be so mischievous hitting me and then the next minute so sweet and innocent and giving mummy and daddy kisses. You are such a cheeky little girl but we love you!

You aren't as fussy with food anymore and will eat pretty much anything we give you. Which is fantastic as we no longer need to give you pouches. You definitely have mummy's sweet tooth and also want to eat everything we are eating! Which is great, but not when you eat all of my ice cream and I don't get a look in!

You are still in some 9-12 month clothing and 12-18 months however they are still slightly too big for you still. I have no idea how much you weigh as you haven't been weighed in months but I'm guessing around 25lbs.

Your sleeping pattern has gotten much better, in fact I can't complain really apart from the odd night. The past few weeks you have been going to bed at 10pm and waking up at 8am. Sometimes you wake during the night and come into bed with us but other nights you have been sleeping in your cot! Which is a new milestone as you would never sleep in your cot previously. Also yesterday you fell asleep on your own in the cot! Which is great for mummy and I didn't have to climb in with you. We'll see if it happens again but I was rather pleased! The heat hasn't been helping this past week as it would take you forever to get to sleep but when you did you slept pretty much all night.

I know they say toddlers get tantrums when they hit the "terrible two's" but I swear you are already at that stage. If you don't get your own way you throw a tantrum, kick your feet, scream and throw yourself on the floor! Such a little drama queen! It's so hard not to laugh sometimes, but you do need to learn that you can't get your own way all of the time.

We have had lots of fun these past few weeks with the lovely summer weather we've been having. We've been to the beach, lake, park, had many days in the garden and plenty of long walks. I love watching you explore and your little face when it lights up. I am excited to see what next month will bring and can't wait to watch you grow even more.

Love always Mum x
