Well it looks like summer may have finally arrived! Better late than never right? It's been scorching all week here in North Wales and what better way to enjoy the weather than sit outside blogging! As I type this Amelia is currently burying her cucumber into the flowerbed behind me. Our only day off together as a family is Thursday's so we took the opportunity to get out yesterday while the sun was shining. We went for food and then for a long walk to the woods near a lake on Anglesey on the way to Amelia's grandparents (Andy's parents). We walked a couple of miles around the woodland, Amelia was asleep when we got there so we put her in the pushchair and let her sleep. Once we got to the lake we sat down for a rest and caught some sun.
Of course then Amelia decided to wake up so we let her run about for a little while as there was a fair bit of open space. After applying some suncream on Amelia, we walked back and Amelia didn't want to be in her pushchair so we let her walk, she walked a whole mile! Well ran most of it ha ha! She was knackered by the end of it of course and we finished the walk in the pushchair. I just hope this isn't the last of the nice weather and we actually get a decent summer. I remember last summer I didn't get to see much of the nice weather as Amelia was still small I didn't like to sit outside with her and I didn't want to get de-hydrated and not be able to breastfeed her as that happened when she was 1 month old.
Fingers crossed we have many trips out to the beach, woods, lake and plenty of other places over the next few months. I can't wait!
