Getting married is every little girls big dream. The beautiful wedding dress, fairytail venue, humungous cake, special theme, you name it and she would have already thought of it and what her big day would look like. However many bride's to be tend to leave invitations till the last minute or can never decide on one that will fit well with the theme of the wedding. I was recently sent some vintage wedding invitations from Paper Themes to have a browse of.
Vintage is definitely up my street, I love everything about it. The colours, the fonts, the patterns you name it. I have always been very fond of all things vintage and I think a vintage wedding would be wonderful! These invitations are all beautifully designed and manufactured in the UK.
I was sent a few invitation samples which I will show you below:
Firstly we have the Mint 'Eat, Drink & Be Married Invitation which is one of my favourites from their collection. It has a pull out sleeve with ribbon attached with I think is an added touch. The slogan ' Eat, Drink and Be Married', is eye catching and the vintage inspired font makes it stand out. I really do like this invitation. Inside are your wedding invitation and RSVP card tied together on a white ribbon.
The Ticket Of Love Letterpress invitation is another favourite of mine from the vintage collection. This invitation is a two tone colour making it very subtle and unique. There is a blue border with stars around the invitation which is on a beautiful 100% cotton board. This invitation is in the style of a festive ticket which I think is really nice if you are opting for more of a traditional wedding or even if you had a particular festival theme wedding in mind. The names and date are all printed in bold to stand out which I think makes it very appealing on the eyes.
This Buckingham Wedding Invitation design is very simple yet elegant and traditional and would be perfect for any wedding theme. The ivory makes this invitation appear really classy and attractive. I really do like this design, it is plain and simple but effective. The front of the invitation has the word 'Wedding' on an embossed panel.
The Blue Summer Rose is a beautiful invitation with a vintage rose style design. This landscape wedding invitation has a thin panel along the bottom with your names printed in a calligraphic styled font. This inviation feel very luxury to me, on the inside your wedding information is created on a pearl panel and high quality card. This is another of my favourite designs from the collection.
This Peaches & Cream wedding invitation screams summer wedding to me. I love the colours, so bright and colourful, with a pretty vintage rose design on the front and a pink polka dot wallet. This design is very girly in my eyes and perfect for any bride who loves pink! Your wedding details and RSVP are printed on cards inside the wallet.
The Vintage Bus Ticket invitation is a fantastic idea! I love everything about it. It's really simple with all the information you need on the front and back of the ticket, no need to open envelopes and have bits of paper to fill in everywhere. I really like the style of this invitation, definitely very vintage and quirky.
The Red Rock n Roll invitation in my eyes would be perfect for a valentines themed wedding because of the red polkadots. This design is really nice, personally I wouldn't choose it myself as I'm not keen on the colour red however I do really like the idea of the envelope with the RSVP and details inside. On the front of the envelope are your names and date of the wedding and the invitation has a varnish finish which makes the red stand out.
Overall my favourites would have to be Mint 'Eat, Drink & Be Married Invitation, The Ticket of Love and the Vintage Bus Ticket. All three of these are my style and would fit in with my wedding of choice.
