I thought I would split Amelia's birthday into a few separate posts one for planning and decorating and then the actual party photo's. We also went to the zoo so there will be another post on that coming soon. After months of thinking what to do for Amelia's birthday I finally opted for a small gathering at our house. Just a few friends and family members nothing big, after all we don't actually know that many people and I didn't want loads of babies running around and crying all day.
The morning of the party was a little hectic, we needed to go and pick up both cakes at around 11am, so off we went getting lost of course which held things up. We then needed to go and get some last minute supplies from the supermarket and by the time we got home it was 12pm. We had our first guests coming over at 1pm before everyone else but I still wanted some food ready and the table all decorated etc. I quickly got it all ready in time thank god and managed to snap away and get some decor photos which will be in my next post.
Here are a few photo's from the day of her birthday. She had so much fun and got spoilt of course! We also had an incident with a breadstick and her eye but that's another story for different day.
Amelia received many different toys for her birthday, all big girl toys unlike at Christmas when we bought her smaller toys. She now has a Spin and Bounce Zebra from us, a Giraffe ride on, a Mickey Mouse ride on, a Pink Trike and a pop up ball tent all from various family members. She has far too many toys now. She absolutely loves them all though, and couldn't wait to get on them. Her face when she's on one of them and they move is priceless! We opened one of her presents from us which was the zebra in the morning and put it together, then opened the rest as and when people came round. We now have enough clothes to see Amelia through till the summer....if not winter!
Considering she had only napped an hour in the morning she was pretty happy in the afternoon. We managed to snap some photo's with Andy and myself and also my parents and brother before other guests arrived. I love these photo's perfect memories! Later in the afternoon Amelia started fussing a bit she needed to nap although we had more guest arriving at different times she kept going and opening presents. She was knackered come five o' clock so we decided to cut the cake then and sang happy birthday before my side of the family left and when Andy's got here. She was pretty moody and didn't want to sit in the high chair but we still managed to get a few photo's. She definitely had an eventful day and slept well last night that's for sure!
Part 2 and Planning and decorating posts coming soon!
