Teal & Brown Nursery

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

I was inspired by this nursery theme from the teal and brown wallpaper whilst browsing wallpaper designs in B&Q the other day. If I was to have a baby boy his nursery would probably look somewhat like this. I absolutely love the colours and it's still modern and simple too. How fabulous is this cot, I love sleigh cots and especially this one as it is a dark oak colour. I think it goes perfectly with the teal and brown theme and love that you can incorporate it into the room. I always wish that we had bought Amelia a sleigh cot as they look so much sturdier than the one we have. If you are currently looking for a Cot, John Lewis have a fantatic range to choose from. The sea-grass basket would be perfect to keep laundry or toys and I just love that it goes well with this room. I love handmade mobiles and have actually made my own for Amelia, you may have seen it in her nursery tour or a DIY in previous posts, it was a lot of hard work to make but definitely worth it. The one pictured is with little stars, to match this theme I would probably use teal, brown and white card to make the stars. I'd love to make or purchase some wall art to match this theme too. How cute are ones above with the little elephants! I'd much rather design a modern nursery instead of the traditional plain blue or pink for girls, instead you can have a nicely presented room which your baby can grow into and you can also change it into a guest room also. I really do love this theme

Do you have a baby boy or one on the way? What theme is their nursery?

  2. We did a vintage airplane theme with my son's nursery. We did the dark espresso furniture and a caramel colored wall with navy blue accents in window treatments and accessories. It all came together really well and I love that it isn't so babyish so he can really grow into it without us having to do a full re design as he gets older.

    1. That sounds really nice especially the caramel wall and navy accents!
I agree, makes it so much easier instead of re-doing it all when they grow older.

  3. I did a double take here! The fabric that I made a crib skirt and decorative accessories out of for my daughter's nursery is almost identical to the wallpaper design above. We also have a dark brown crib/furniture and ivory glider (but with dark wood). With coordinating floral framed artwork, our teal/brown/ivory nursery a very classy, feminine room for a little girl. Love it!

  8. Absolutely gorgeous! I've always loved teal and think it's much better than the traditional blue for baby boys.
