If you have been a follower of the blog for a while now, you will know we took Amelia on her first family holiday when she was just 6 months old in November 2012. We had such a great time and can't wait for our next family holiday abroad. However in the meantime, we don't think we will be able to afford a holiday so soon so we are looking at cheap Easter Family Holidays in the UK and have been looking at UK holiday parks such as Butlins. The main reason - simply because we would like to take a break around that time before Amelia's first birthday and Andy will have some time off then too. We were thinking of going to London in the summer but we still would like to take a short break before then.
When I was younger I always remember my parents taking us away for the holidays each school holiday whether it be to Cornwall or Scotland, we never really stayed at holiday parks so I missed out on all the fun activities as a child. I would love for when Amelia is older to experience that and she can play with other children and have fun on the stages with entertainment.
I have never been to Butlins before, however I have many friends who have and I have heard good things about them. Especially for young children, they have fantastic free facilities, kids clubs, swimming pools and entertainment. Butlins don't just do midweek breaks or school holiday deals they also have fantastic weekend breaks for all budgets enabling families to get away for a fun filled weekend at a short cost.
We are definitely considering Butlins for a weekend break at Easter and just need to decide on where to go! I wouldn't visit without children however with the little one's it definitely looks like somewhere I'd consider for a cheap family holiday.
Last Easter I was awaiting the arrival of madam as she was due to be born on Easter Sunday which was the 8th however she didn't arrive until the 22nd! Two whole weeks late! Also previous years I have always worked so I have never been on holiday for Easter. Easter is earlier this year so it would be nice to get away then.
What are your plans for the Easter holidays this year? Will you be going to a Holiday Park?
