Guest Post | Danielle - Unorganized Chaos

Hello Ohsoamelia readers! My name is Danielle. I'm a mom to 3 boys ages 7, 5, and 2 months, a wife, a writer, and a blogger. I like to keep myself busy and I prove that by writing 4 different blogs including Unorganized Chaos X 3, Diary Of A Breastfeeding Mama, Frogs Snails Puppy Dog Tales, and Nourish Your Appetite. You could say I have a blog for everything! My main blog is UCX3 and I write about my family, my kids, and all of my journeys in life. I love to give advice to other moms and I love finding other moms that can relate to what I go through. I also Host a radio show called Messy Moms Radio which airs live twice a week. Thank you Kerry for allowing me to share my story with your wonderful followers!

Before I had kids, I took pride in the fact that I was always on time for everything if not early. Of course I had the occasional hiccup but everything still went like clockwork. Then I had kids. With the first one it wasn't so bad. Getting used to lugging around an infant car seat was the hard part but with time we learned. As he got older it became much easier to jump in the car and go. With the second and third one we realized that we would never be on time again!

When you have kids there is a whole new set of circumstances for leaving the house. Forget about ever being able to get yourself completely ready! I gave up on everyday make-up a long time ago. I'm lucky if I have on matching socks let alone a color coordinated outfit! There has been a few times when I actually looked nice, mind you we were more than an hour late each time. I try to be on time but something always comes up. Someone needs to be fed, diapers need to be changed, shoes need to be tied, and buttons need to be buttoned. Don't even get me started on how many times a kid will have to pee before leaving the house and of course as soon as we pull out of the driveway!

So after all the bathroom breaks and double checking that we have everything and everyone is ready we head out the door only to find out that we don't have the most important thing... The Keys! So the hunt begins. You start looking in all of the obvious places like the table, purse, diaper bag, kitchen counter, bedroom dresser. Nothing. Then you start thinking like a mom and you may look a little something like this:

You start looking in the other places such as under the couch cushions, in the toy box, in the toilet, in the garbage disposal, under the rugs. You run around like a mad person just praying that everyone will understand why you are always so late. You finally decide that the dog had to have eaten the keys and you grab your spare set and high tail it to the car. You jump in swearing under your breath and begin to back out of the driveway when you hear a familiar jingle from the car seat behind you. In that moment you don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Yep, I will never be on time again. But because I have kids I will never miss the wonderful moments like these.
