Baby's 1st Christmas Essentials

Above is a little insight into what we have bought already to get into the Christmas spirit with Amelia this year. As it's her first Christmas I wanted to make it extra special by getting '1st Christmas' keepsakes and such that I can keep. I have already been listening to the CD and putting Christmas songs on throughout the day. The red dress is for Christmas day and I have an adorable red headband to go with it. The tutu outfit will probably be for Boxing day and I will buy some Christmas Pajamas for Christmas Eve. I love the little boots and can't wait for her to wear them!

Yesterday we bought our tree and put it up. I know it's early but last year I didn't really have a Christmas and for the past 10 years I have been working! So it will be nice to actually enjoy a Christmas at home with my family. We have invited my parents over for Christmas this year as we have our own family home we thought it would be nice to celebrate it here, hopefully it will go well. Note to self read online 'how to cook a turkey'. Now back to the tree! We went out and bought it, and argued over the colour scheme. We settled for red and gold, although I would have rather it been purple and silver. We also got it on offer for 10% bargain!  Putting the tree up really does make you feel in the Christmas spirit.

I'm hoping to take Amelia to see Santa in the next few weeks when he has his Grotto nearby. That should be fun and I can get some nice photos while she's young enough to sit still. Also be prepared to see hundreds of photos of Amelia over the next month!

I'm off to watch Christmas films all day...can't get enough of Elf, Home alone and Deck the halls! Oh yeah!

  3. So cute...I hope baby Amelia doesn't freak out when she sees Santa. We had to nix that for Reagan's first Christmas.

    Have a great time! :)
