Your Questions Answered

Hello my lovelies!
Autumn is definitely here! I had to put our heating on tonight for the first time! I can't wait for Christmas already! I know it may seem like ages away but this year it's going to be so more special as it's Amelia's first Christmas with us. I can't wait to go shopping, visit Santa at his grotto, get fat eating junk food and watch Christmasy films.

Now it's time to answer some of your questions!!

Why did you start blogging? I started this blog back in April 2012 a week or so before Amelia was due to write down my thoughts and letters to Amelia to read in the future. It started out for myself and for family and friends to read. I had no idea it would turn out into a lifestyle blog But I really do enjoy it and it has become a hobby of mine. I now blog daily. I wish I had found out about it before I was pregnant so I could have blogged my pregnancy too.

Losing baby weight - Well this is a question that I get asked a lot. I am planning on doing a post/video on my pregnancy weight loss soon. To be honest I haven't actually lost and weight besides my baby weight which I did put on roughly 20lbs I think taking me up to 8st 7lbs. I now weight 7st 5lb which is 5lb more than my pre pregnancy weight. But I don't really wan't to loose any weight. I haven't exercised yet but I am planning to as I really wan't to get my abs back and tone up. I do however breastfeed which is a major advantage! (If you don't eat junk food 24/7 oooops)

How did you make/Where did you buy the butterfly mobile, pom poms, hair band holder, closet dividers & nappy cake?  All of these were handmade by myself and you can fine all of my tutorials here and see Amelia's nursery here.

What is Amelia's daily routine? I posted about her day in a life at 1.5 months in this post, but she is older now so things are a little bit different. She wakes up around 8 (after sleeping through the night...most nights!)..I feed her in bed then get myself ready in the en-suite whilst she's playing.  We then go downstairs and she has breakfast (porridge) around 9. I then let her play in her Jumperoo or play gym whilst I tidy up/do the dishes. She takes her morning nap somewhere between 11-1pm if she's not being fussy otherwise she'll be awake till late afternoon.
I feed her lunch around 1:30 (carrots/vegetables & my milk), then we usually relax and play for a bit. She will then play in her jumperoo or door swing for half an hour. I then let her watch TV for 10-15 minutes sat in her bumbo whilst watching her from the sofa. She has dinner around 5-6pm. I then bath her around 6.30-7pm and start her bed time routine(which I am finally starting this week wish me luck!)
. We then read a few books, have another feed and I try to put her down to sleep around 7.30-8pm. Which up till now has never worked so I always have her in the swing until much later. However I am trying to get her into a routine of somewhat.  So I plan to have her asleep by 9pm. She may wake up around 11-12am for one last feed. Then will sleep through till 8am maybe with a feed during the night.

Will I be going back to work after Maternity Leave? Yes, I do plan on going back to work part time for now of course until Amelia is old enough. My maternity is coming to an end in November but I may see how long we can go if we have enough finances. I would however LOVE to be a stay at home mum! Before having Amelia I worked full time 60+ hours a week and was a workaholic! I would go in on my days off and do extra shifts. When I went on maternity I honestly didn't know what to do with myself! But I soon got into the hang of things and being a lazy bum so when Amelia arrived I really didn't ever want to go baclk. Obviously, I know that isn't going to happen...unless we win the lottery!

Does Amelia's Dad (Andy) work? I get asked this quiet a lot or people saying there's not many photo's of them together. Well the reason behind this is yes he does work. He runs a restaurant which recently opened at the same time Amelia was born so he's being working quiet a lot. We knew it would be tough to begin with and that he would have to put a lot of hours in to get it opened and running smoothly. So he works around 60 hours a week some days all day so he only gets to see Amelia when she's sleeping. But when he does get days off we try to make the most of it and go out together as a family. We are also going on holiday in November as a family, so that should be nice.

Where do you buy Amelia's clothes and headbands?
Amelia's clothes are mainly from Next, GAP, M&S and carters. I'd say almost 70% are from next. I just love their clothing. Reasonably cheap and good quality too! Most of her headbands are handmade by myself, any that aren't were purchased on Ebay or bought in shops. I am hoping to finally open my etsy store in a month or two. I've just been too occupied with Amelia :)

I hope that's answered most of your questions. If you have a question leave it below and I will try my best to answer them in my next Questions and Answers post.
