One of my biggest regrets....

One of my biggest regrets that's still in the back of my mind is a photoshoot I did back in 2010 when I was nineteen. Not doing the shoot itself but getting pressured into buying them. One of my closest friends asked me to go along to a makeover photo shoot for the day with her in Manchester. I'm not usually one for getting all done up but I finally agreed to go along. It was such a fun day getting our make up and hair done and then having our own photographer for an hour or so taking photo's in different settings. Afterwards you go into a little room and sit with an sales adviser who tells you how amazing your photos are and telling you that you should be them all. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to say no. We didn't have to pay for going along but you could purchase the photos.(what's the catch? you ask) The sales people were so persuasive and we couldn't say no. Of course I did say no a few times but they managed to change my mind. Fool I hear you say!

They managed to con us out of £1400 each!!!!! Of course we didn't have to pay it all then we had a payment plan over two years. So I was paying £60 a month. Included we were given a portfolio, 3 large wall prints of our choice, all of the photos(40+) in A4 size, A5 size and smaller, all of them in black and white, sepia & normal on disc. Yes some of the photos are nice but I don't even look at them anymore, I actually don't even know where the portfolio is. My Gran, Nana & parents all have a photo or two each but I haven't even looked at them for over a year! I suppose it will be nice in years to come when I'm 50 and wrinkly to look back and show Amelia hey!?

The reason behind this post is quite funny actually...I recently saw a group on Facebook saying that they had gone into administration and everyone was complaining about being scammed. I have learnt a huge lesson and one that I will never be fooled into again!

  2. Those are lovely. But I have a hard time saying no too...and that's a lot of money.
