Nursery ideas

It's been five months since we moved into our new home...yes five months!! and we still haven't decorated Amelia's nursery. I wish we had done it before she arrived but we just never got round to doing it. Well now we have decided to swap the guest room and the room that was going to be the nursery around as the nursery would have been too small. Its pretty much just a box room big enough for a bed or a office. So we are going to make the guest room Amelia's nursery as it is much bigger.

This is how the nursery looked when we moved in.
I need ideas! I can't decide on colours or a theme. I had picked out some whilst I was pregnant but now changed my mind. I'm thinking a dark colour for the walls like a grey/purple/chocolate as her cot is dark brown. I am really looking forward to doing it up and adding bits and bobs to make it 'her' room. We have everything for it, just need to decorate.

and this is the mess on it now... Everything everywhere.
So I was hoping you would share your kid's rooms/nursery's with me this week. Don't worry I'm not going to copy anyone's I'm just looking for ideas plus I love looking at nursery's and kids rooms it's the best room of the house!

Share photos of your kid's rooms/nursery's or what you would like it to look like. There are no rules here, except that you link up a relevant post (old or new) rather than your whole blog.

Now show us your kid's rooms!

  1. That's not messy at all compared to some of the rooms in my house. I think that grey/purple/chocolate would make a great color scheme for her nursery. It's going to be so cute!
