Amelia Paige - you are two months old today! How is that even possible? I see what they mean by it flying by - it seems like you were born last week. I'm going to need you to stop growing now! You have made this the best two months of our lives and I cant' imagine life without you.
You are about 12 pounds, a little over 24 inches (59cm) long (getting a wiggly newborn to stretch out is not easy, by the way), and your head is about 40cm around. You're a big girl, and show no signs of slowing down in the growing department anytime soon! You are wearing a size 1 nappy...those newborn ones never did fit. You wore newborn clothes for about a week, and you're solidly in 0-3 month clothes now. You can just about get away with some 3-6 month clothes too! You're eating about 5 ounces at every meal, from our best guess. We give you a bottle now and again just to make sure you get enough. You sleep most of the day right now - out of every four hours during the day, you're sleeping two of them (most of the time). You have a good stretch of awake time about 6-8 where you're pretty fussy and just don't want to nap.
You smile all the time, and have such a pretty little toothless grin! :) You HATE burping. You've really started fighting it when I try to burp you in the past few days. Every time you burp, your eyes start watering and you start whining...it breaks my heart! Still not a fan of the rocker or play mat...hopefully that will change soon we have starting putting you in your play mat more often now. Your eyes are turning blue, we think! They're still dark, but getting lighter every day. Your hair is growing more too at the front and we think you will be auburn or a light brown. You love riding in the car and looking out the window, you never sleep in the pram anymore, you're just too nosy. You are conversationally cooing. You are reaching for things more than ever now and like to hold Sophie the giraffe and your comfort blanket. You don't like to have a dummy anymore and you keep shoving your fist in your mouth. Your little hand always wants to grasp on my hair or my finger when I am feeding or holding you. Your daddy and I love you more than you know! You've made this the best 2 months of our lives!
